12.2.1.2 - freezes at Startup loading 66% of the library - MAC

Hey There,

after updating to 12.2.1.2. this morning Keyshot quits running properly.

At startup I can not use the library incl Materials as it stops at 66%, models can also not be modified or even used.

Can someone provide me an older KS12 MAC Version asap?

Help really would be appreciated.

THX.

I played a bit using different numbers in the URL and this is 12.1.1.11:

Thanks mate! Sadly the issue with the not loading library is still there which is weird…

Well that is weird. I don’t know if you’ve a lot of own materials in your library but just to try, maybe you can move them temporarily to another folder and try again. Not sure what location it is on the Mac but guess somewhere in documents as well.

I know there have been some issues if there were files with a .png extension for example but which were actually other format images.

If that doesn’t work you could also just rename the complete folder with all materials, just to have it to start again.

BTW, awesome car liveries! I love designing liveries as well for my online racing league hobby. It’s great what you can do combining some shapes that fit the car/team well.

Thanks for the kind words

Found the issue: i tried your path, somehow one correct non readable file found its way in one subfolder in the background library since yesterday. This caused the loading issue.

Ah, well that explains it. I think it would be better if weird/incompatible files just would be skipped while loading. Saves a lot of time while figuring out what’s wrong.

Glad you found the issue.

What was the exact problem with this file? How did it become “non readable”?

Hey Jan, it became suddenly a 0kb file which Keyshot quit to open. Maybe you should “tell” KS to leave out non readable files in the Ressources folder and continue loading

What was the file that went down to 0kb? Was it a KeyShot asset? A texture/material/environment etc.?

Nope, it strangely was a JPG in my Background folder.
