Hi all, I couldn’t find any current topic about this but if it’s already discussed, let me know.
Does anyone have a best practices for rendering BLOOM on Transparent backgrounds?
I mean when the bloom is visible beyond the edge of the geometry, keyshot sets that area to 100% transparent alpha and it gets lost.
None of the render passes available include the bloom at all, wether when “Include Alpha (Transparency)” is enabled or not.
Hi Joey,
I would suggest taking a look at BorisFX Sapphire which is currently also available as Photoshop Plugin. The interface looks pretty retro but the things you can do are actually pretty amazing with a lot of control.
Especially with the kind of products PDP creates I think there are more interesting things you can do with the products using BorisFX Sapphire. Basically it’s their set of video filters but now also available for stills.
While it’s nice if you could do it at render time I think more control can be nice as well. Optics could also be nice if you need a bit of more (particle) effects:

Hi Joey,
Did you get your answer? I also encounter this issue still can’t figure out.
Thanks.
