Can't make HDRI pin by clicking in scene

Anyone else having issue creating a highlight pin in the scene by clicking the circle plus/target icon in the HDRI editor. Menu box comes up with normal instructions to control click to create highlight pin but nothing happens. No pin is created. Only way I can make a pin is to click the pin icon and then try to slide it around to where I want it. Very frustrating. Wondering if this is a bug or bad install.

Two things I noticed:

  1. If you use the highlight target icon without selecting any pin to create a new pin, you have to use Ctrl and LMB click.
  2. This doesn’t work in 2023.1, but previous version.

Even if a pin is selected and the set highlight function is active, using Ctrl to create new pins does not work. This seems to be a bug - I created a ticket for support team.

As a workaround, you have to create a new pin and then use “set highlight”.
