Fundamental Tip for Beginners in KeyShot

Hi KeyShot community, it’s a pleasure to connect with you!

I wanted to share a workflow that completely transformed my renders. Some of you might feel differently, but I gradually moved away from using KeyShot’s pre-set Studios and started creating my own custom light pins using the HDRI Editor in the Environment tab.

Especially for isolated product renders (this doesn’t really apply to interior scenes in my experience), I find it much easier to achieve the exact lighting mood I want by manually adjusting the pins in the HDRI Editor. For example, with a chair, it’s far more intuitive for me to control the environment lighting this way instead of browsing through existing studio presets.

Plus, you can change pin colors, tweak their brightness and size, super useful!
