help with camera angle

hello all,

this is my go to as you’re all class and helpful.

I am having trouble trying to recreate this camera angle from a photograph image of product we have … i am creating KS renders to showcase new features but can’t seem to get the camera right can someone help please or advise what settings to use to get more accurate look.

I’m not really sure, but it might be that you just haven’t tried an orth0graphic camera?

Hi Harry,

I did try orthagraphic camera but it came out really odd looking… this is the current camera i have and its settings

this is how the product ended up looking with an orgraphic camera

I’m not sure then if ortho doesn’t look right.

Something you could try:
Get the image you’re recreating and add it as the background in the environment tab.

Where you see your lens settings, tick Ground Grid while you’re setting up the camera.

Now use the base of your model to line up your product on the ground grid and adjust/tweak the perspective to match.

Then save the camera, turn off ground grid and change your background back.

To piggyback off of Harry’s suggestions, you could also try adding the image you are trying to match as a frontplate (tutorial link) with 50% opacity and eyeballing it from there.

This would also be my recommendation/strategy.
