Image01 is the model that I want, and I chose the fbx file, and it turned out to be model with no texture like image02.
When I download models from website like CG trader and imported them into Keyshot, I akways get models with no texuture on them, the only way to figure this out is to texture the model manually one by one ? Or you have any good idea to find a better way works for Keyshot? If there is any better workflow for doing scene rendering?.
This is always a case of hit or miss. There is only so much quality control sites like cgtrader and turbosquid can do, and since keyshot is not a huge part of the market, they don’t normally QC the files for keyshot use. When I download a model from any of these places, I do not expect really anything to be mapped or applied. FBX’s are the best option for the most part, and depending on how to the thing was authored and saved, it can have the textures UV mapped and will come in “ok” but others will not.
There are very few if any resources for straight up keyshot assets, Visune is one, but its all furniture and lifestyle stuff. There are some on grabcad, but very few. I was hoping for a long time that they would put more effort and revive the online Keyshot hub library, but i think i’ve lost hope for that.
I prefer to use glb files when they are available for download. These files contain related texture files.
The only downside is that with each glb import you get another folder in the texture library (but this is easy to fix afterwards).
