How to use cavity map in Keyshot

Is it necessary to use a Cavity map in Keyshot, and how to use it?

I’ve used it in one of the scenes with the stones I shared. I had never seen them before but from how the texture looked I would use it either as inverse opacity on a layer or just like a multiplier on the diffuse color together with the occlussion, so basically two color composite nodes.

I was just thinking, you could also use it maybe as a roughness if you want to have some wet look on the stones. In the map you see mainly the deeper grooves/spots a natural stone has.

This is what Quixel says:

Cavity represent specular light occlusion and is used to weaken the specular reflection in tightly occluded cavities and steep areas. This is so that materials shall not exhibit unrealistically intense specular reflections where light would get trapped. This map is primarily used in a real-time context.

So basically you could also use it as extra roughness/specular so those cavities never will reflect any light or only a very tiny bit.
