Ever since using KeyShot, I have tried to use the feature: ‘Add model to library from scene.’
It is extremely buggy; these are some of the issues I have:
- Not transferring all materials.
- Labels not adding it to the model library at all or just as a folder.
- KeyShot instantly crashing when I import a model from the library.
As the database of products I work with increases, not being able to use this feature really slows me down… Is this fixable, am I doing something wrong, or is it just a poorly designed program feature?
Models bought from Visune seem to work fine while importing… W.G., please help C;
I don’t really use that option but just tried a bit and I can replicate the issue where nothing from the scene gets added to the library at all except an empty folder.
It seems to happen if I place a scene in the library and use that scene into a new file. If add it again to the library from there it will either add nothing or create an empty folder. It seems once added you can’t add it again.
In fact, whatever I try to add now it’s not working anymore. It just creates empty folders. I was trying to test another issue which I think can easily cause problems but it’s a bit hard to test this way.
What version of KS are you on at the moment?
edit:
If I try the same in GPU mode it gets stuck on 4% and it says ‘failed to render thumbnail’ not sure if it’s because there’s nothing put in the library to render or a different issue.

This issue might also have to do with the fact that ‘localize scene content’ is also doing nothing more than creating an directory without any contents. Doesn’t seem right.

Thought it might help to run KS as admin but didn’t make a difference I think
