Kaleidoscope

Hello! This scene is a lighting experiment in Keyshot, I hope you find it interesting! Here’s a brief breakdown:
The scene is lit by a single light obstructed by two planes. The first plane has a procedural opacity texture that allows light to pass through random spots. The second plane is a refractive material with a high amount of dispersion (low Abbe number). The result is a scene that generates new lighting conditions every time the procedural seed is changed, varying in amount, intensity, disposition and colour.
The images presented here are renders with low quality, enhanced by the denoiser. The scene is being lit in its entirety by refractive caustics with high amount of light dispersion, which translates to extremely long rendering times and visible light discs or spots, that’s why this previews ended up being the best option to present this project.

That is really interesting indeed.
