So ever since upgrading to the KS2023, my render queue just doesn’t work. It maxes out my ram and pretty much immediately crashes after hitting okay on the Out of Memory warning.
I’m sorry I’m not able to answer your question, but rather have my own. Do you have two different licences or are you using KS2023 licence on KS11? I’m having my own bugs in KS2023 and would like to know if I can downgrade?
I am using a corporate KS account. I was using KS11 prior to upgrading to KS2023. My license includes version upgrades, as even before going to KS11, I had KS10 for quite a while before fully transitioning to KS11.
I just never uninstalled KS11 and it has continued to work along with my KS2023.
One thing that is unfortunate though is that KS2023 files are not backwards compatible, so any modifications I have made in KS2023, wont be in a separate BIP/KSP saved for KS11.
Hello try this, its just blind shot, this is for viewport rendering, that warning not looks like a ram memory to me, I believe default is 256 or 512 so push it to 1024 or 2048, its memory for viewport, if you are rendering in high resolution or animation this can be the cause, but not 100 percent sure
I’m not sure how much memory you’ve in your PC but I guess plenty. I did quite some renders with KS2023.1 (the .186) but never had it give a message like that. Must say I always render with GPU and not sure if you used CPU or GPU. Happy to try if I can get the same error with some items in the queue and try to find out what triggers it. Pretty specific amount of ram as well.
@TextureMan I’ll give it a go, I run using GPU render and our standard size render is 3000x3000. Same settings don’t have any issue in KS11. I did update the render output window memory limit, which has made it so the error hasn’t come up, but it makes it so now I just have Keyshot freeze up and stop responding when trying to add queue.
@oscar.rottink i9 10900K 3.7GHz - 64GB of Ram - GFX RTX 3070 8GB - Can’t share these files though, but I’ll try to recreate it with some of my BIPs that are some personal projects just playing with KS.
Try to render it on background or try to use CPU, I am seriously out of option right now and you are using small resolution it’s not that big so I have no idea. And if it’s not responding try to use not 100 percent GPU power, try to render it with 80 percent if you can.
