Since this is my first post here, I’m mostly checking out how this works for sharing renderings and personal work compared to the old forum.

Here’s a recent set of images I created for the RenderWeekly challenge with the perfume prompt. Let me know if there’s anything else about this project you’d like me to share. Maybe I’ll do a video breakdown of it.

Very nice, Will. Lovely caustics. Seeing how replies work.

Cool, yeah, I’m new to this platform, so curious to see what happens when the replies get ‘nested’ or stack up.

Just replying to say that I’m also testing out how replies work! :grinning:

Love this! testing out the replies as well on my end. What better way to open the new forum than with some killer caustics. :metal:

Hey there, new to the forum, just poking around and seeing how this stuff works! This is probably one of my better renders lately, its a condition monitoring system for rooftop HVAC systems that is solar powered and wirelessly monitors the motors, pumps, temps and alerts building maint engineers to anything out of spec.

Joined recently and just exploring the platform. Meanwhile here I am uploading one of my render for Ruby Gemstone Ring

Welcome, Ratan, and thank you for sharing! I love the light shining through the ruby and reflecting on the gold band. It looks fantastic!

Than you so much for appreciation.

Wow, the subdued “cloudy morning” light really works for your render - allowing contrast on your HVAC unit to be low enough for details to be visible, without it looking unnaturally dull.

That contrast issue has always bothered me when trying to bring out details in a daylight HDRI-lit scene.

Just tried to create a render with worn edges material by following the tutorial.

Great material Ratan! Love the texture. Did you use one of the built in KeyShot textures to create it? Reminds me of the texture on my camera body.

@karim.merchant yes I used built in Keyshot material. Hard shiny plastic with some roughness and bump maps.
