I have a 3D drawing of a smooth pipe and I want to use it to make a shower hose that has metal mesh, and that doesn’t look smooth. Can I apply a material to it to create the metal links? I tried to use “RealCloth” but it doesn’t come out as I would like.

I think it would need to be UV unwrapped unless it’s completely straight.
You can either do this in a modeling software, or directly in Keyshot. I would recommend this video by @will.gibbons where he shows how to do it on an audio cable, it’s really helpful if you need to unwrap it!
