Solidworks Decals

I need to be able to render SolidWorks assemblies with sub-assemblies in different positions. Some of the sub-assemblies have decals on them. If I apply the decals in Keyshot I have to re-apply then every time I move something in the SW assembly. The obvious thing is to apply the decals in SW and then they will stay in the correct place when the model is updated in Keyshot. In the Keyshot SW plug-in there is an option in the export setting to ‘Output Decals’. This box is checked by default. The problem is, when I send a model to Keyshot, the decals don’t appear in KS. Could someone please tell me how to import decals from Solidworks?
Many thanks, Ben

I was searching through the forum to see if anyone else had run into this. @harry.wills it looks like you are an active SolidWorks user? Any advice or thoughts on this?

Hi @maura.frost, I did see this but unfortunately I never use decals in Solidworks.
I’m unsure why you would need to re-apply the decal in KS every time you update the assembly? one work around is you could separate the face where the decal is and copy paste the material back on to the same face if it’s giving you issues, but that’s not ideal.
